Signature of Jiu-Jitsu was founded in 2022 by Professor Atahide “Taidi” Santana, who believes that jiu-jitsu has the power to help us live better and safer lives and show us that the benefits of jiu-jitsu go far beyond just learning to fight and defend ourselves from any kind of physical or verbal aggression.

About Coach Taidi

Coach Taidi, married and father of two children, is a registered black belt in the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF). He started training in 2011 and has now dedicated over 13 years of continuous training to jiu-jitsu.

Taidi began his jiu-jitsu training in Brazil with Professor Marcelo “Cyborg” Siqueira, where he earned his brown belt, competed in tournaments, and won several regional titles. He then moved to the United States and received his black belt from Master Charles Gracie. Taidi continues to carry the teachings, principles, and values that he learned from Professor Marcelo “Cyborg” Siqueira to this day.

Coach Taidi is accredited with the “Winner's Methodology for Children's Jiu-Jitsu” teaching methodology. He also spent over three years studying and creating his own teaching methodology for adults. He is always updating both the children's and adults' methodologies with the latest developments and improvements.
